New DreamCatcher Hotel Brand Introduces The 4-Star Hotel Experience At A 3-Star Price
MEMPHIS (August 27) DreamCatcher Hotels has launched its first turnkey hotel in partnership with the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, supplying top-to-bottom services from architecture and construction to the selection of in-room products, furniture and fixtures. The 401-room Seven Clans Hotel property, adjacent to the Coushatta Casino, opened on July 11, 2012. The hallmark of this new hotel brand is its comprehensive delivery system which enables the company to turn over the finished product at 30 to 40 percent less per key than comparable hotels while maintaining the quality level of a 4-star property.
“The Seven Clans property is such a striking example of how casino hotels can be successfully developed in today’s ‘new normal’ economy, while at the same time significantly elevating the guest experience,” says DreamCatcher Hotels Managing Partner, Greg Hnedak. Three years ago, the economic downturn and its effect on the hospitality, entertainment and gaming industries was staggering. With liquidity that once drove development growth suddenly evaporating, Hnedak spearheaded a team to address a shrinking market within the Indian Gaming industry. The concept for a select-service hotel brand adjacent to tribal casinos began to take shape, and DreamCatcher Hotels was born.
